Summer Paws?

Hell, no! We’re not “pawsing” (get it?) our work at Artsy Pets & Ponies, even though it’s 110 degrees out. (Don’t walk your furry friends in this heat!) In fact, summertime is when we plan for the busy Fall/Winter season, looking at events we want to participate in, ordering season merchandise, etc.

Right now we’re also focusing on:

  • Our first ever “remote” appearance at county fairs, where we are sure to encounter many animal lovers and showcase our unique Cowgirls of Tubac brand items. The first of these events is slated for Catron County, NM in August. Not only are we supporting these ranching communities with our booth entry fees, but we are also “testing” our products on a wider audience so we can make customer-relevant inventory decisions going forward.
  • Speaking of Cowgirls…Our affiliation with this fun group of local women ranchers and riders, the Cowgirls of Tubac, has gotten quite a bit of attention and interest in joining. More on this community effort soon (see photo below of some of the gals involved).
  • Cooperation with local arts and animal charities. We’re planning an appearance at our local Barktober Fest in October, a benefit for the Santa Cruz Humane Society. Additionally we are working with the Tubac Center of the Arts on a special “youth & pets” arts contest. We’ve had visits from other charities, local and afar, and will be evaluating each co-op opportunity for maximum effectiveness for our community.
  • Research on featuring select products on Amazon. We’re looking into developing our own “shop” within Amazon for the convenience of out-of-town customers. ( We would love you input on whether this should be a go or not)

Again, our goal is community service via our creative, unique merchandise and animal charity support.

We are so grateful to our many customers and their furry families that –like the sun — brighten every day!
